Thank you for such a comprehensive report. I found it extremely helpful and in particular liked the photographs used to illustrate various points. The well balanced advice was also appreciated.
It probably won’t come as a surprise that we are not progressing with the purchase. The combination of purchase cost, the renovation to our own particular standards and the continuation of renting whilst the right people are found to do the work and then complete it would I think take us well over the ceiling of what the property is worth. The finding of potential asbestos and lead piping potentially adds additional cost onto that. It needed much more work than we had thought (not being experts at this sort of thing!)
